Buy delicious, peanut and nut-free cookies (gluten-free and vegan options too!) in packages of 40 frozen cookie dough drops in each 800g box that you bake at home between March 1 – 24. Just in time for Easter Baking!
Terra Cotta Cookies will assign commission to Townsend Smith Foundation for each package of dough purchased.

- Each cookie you eat donates 13 cents to building the first hospice residence for North Halton!
- Only 15% of Canadians have early access to palliative care in the community, if 15% of North Halton buys 1 box of cookies we could raise $127,500 for our hospice!
- Guidelines recommend 7 – 10 hospice beds per 100,000 people, there are currently NO beds in our growing community of 170,000 people. Invite 10 people to buy cookies and you raise $50 to build those beds

Hospices are residential palliative facilities dedicated to the care of patients near the end of their lives due to life-limiting illnesses, and their families. The provincial government leaves their establishment up to communities.
The Townsend Smith Foundation is looking to establish a 15,000 sq. ft. hospice with 10 beds in north Halton. Residential hospice care operates at about $500/day compared with compared with $1100-1500 for a hospital bed. Maintaining it will cost an additional $1.6 million/ year, 50% of which is to be covered by community fundraising. “This hike is a wonderful opportunity to bring awareness to the work that Townsend Smith Foundation is striving to accomplish. A hospice is so needed locally, and would bring so much value to our community. Fundraising from this event will go directly to supporting building a hospice,” says John Barrett, Board Chair.
As part of these efforts, we’re holding the second annual Hike for Hospice on Saturday May 25, 2019 at Milton Community Park. The 5 km route will wind its way through the picturesque streets of the Willmott neighbourhood. Events kick-off at 9 a.m. with registration, and family events. Walkers are invited to register online, or in person. The hike begins at 10 a.m.

Our 4th annual High Tea was a huge success. This year we completely sold out and made over $5600.

The Boston Church Choir hosted an evening of music in support of the Townsend-Smith Foundation. We are thrilled and thankful to accept their donation of $1800 from the event!
The evening of music included performances from Zach Peddie, an award-winning Elvis impersonator from St. Thomas, as well as Sarah Bradley, The JP Duo, and Josh Sinclair with The Boston Church Choir.
Thank you to all of you for your support in raising these funds towards a much needed hospice in the Milton, Halton Hills area.
